Dennis Rodman Arrested for Suspicion of Domestic Abuse

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of domestic violence.

Rodman was arrested at a hotel in Century City near Beverly Hills, where he reportedly struck a woman. Rodman was later released from custody early Thursday after posting bail of $50,000.

Alcohol was involved in the altercation on Wednesday, which left the woman with a bruise.

Rodman, 46, played 14 years in the NBA, a career which featured Defensive Player of the Year awards in 1990 and 1991.

Rodman won two championships with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, along side Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer. Rodman then won three consecutive titles with the Chicago Bulls in 1996-98, playing with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

Rodman, the former NBA All-Star, has been struggling to cope with a recent divorce to Michelle Moyer. Rodman married Moyer in 2003 and they have two children together: a son, D.J., and a daughter, Trinity.

Rodman has not been able to see his children in two months and his drinking has increased because of it.

The recent arrest is just a part of list of trouble between Rodman and Moyer since their divorce.

In 2004, Rodman sold his Newport Beach home after Moyer filed for divorce. Earlier that year, she obtained a temporary restraining order preventing her husband from coming within 100 yards of her.
