Shares of The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) rose 0.20% to $64.79 in the opening session after U.S. airlines flying Boeing 757, 767 and 777 airplanes must inspect or replace cockpit windows after 11 reports of fires tied to electrical wiring in the past two decades, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The order covers 1,212 aircraft, and the inspections will cost carriers a total of $103,000, according to the FAA.

BP plc (ADR) (NYSE:BP) continued to rally for fifth consecutive days and climbed 5% to $35.74. Today, the company said that now its total Oil Spill cost has reached $3.5 billion.

Also, According to Media reports, there is rumor that the Oil giant is reportedly in talks to sell its assets to largest US independent oil company Apache Corp. (NYSE: APA) to cover its Oil cleanup cost.Over the past couple of months, shares of the oil giant has plunged over 47%. The stock recently made a 14-year low of $26.75.

 

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) rose 0.33% to $15.16. The largest U.S. bank by assets said it wrongly included as much as $10.7 billion of short-term repurchase and lending transactions as sales from 2007 to 2009 to reduce its end-of-quarter assets.

So far the stock is up more than 7.50% in the last one week. The stock has a 52-week range of $11.58-$19.86.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) is up 1.68% to $50.23 after Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) Barron’s reported over the weekend that the company’s stock has potential to rise as much one third from the current market price per share, citing increased sales by expanding its online business and opens stores in urban centers.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Walmart) operates retail stores. The Company operates in three business segments: Walmart U.S., International and Sam’s Club. During the fiscal year ended January 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010).
