Myanmar Cyclone Kills at Least 350 Destroys Homes and Buildings

At least 350 people were killed and thousands of homes and buildings left destroyed after a cyclone struck Myanmar on Saturday.

With winds of up to 120 mph, Tropical Cyclone Nargis tore through five regions of the Southeast Asia country. The United Nations has made plans to send teams in on Monday to assess the damage and has extended an offer of help to the government but they have yet to receive a response.

Nearly half those reported dead were living on the island of Haing Gyi while many more were believed to be from the low-lying delta.

Much of the country is without electricity and clean water.
