8-Year-Old Killed when Soccer Goal Post Falls on Him

An eight-year-old boy in Phoenix, Arizona died on last Thursday when a soccer goal post fell on him during a game.

According to reports Gabriel Mendoza had been hanging on the crossbar of the goal when the equipment fell over and crushed him. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the call and rushed Mendoza to St. Joseph’s Hospital in critical condition but he died shortly after.

Mendoza’s death was being investigated as an accident.
