Nanny Pulls Toddler from Jaws of Coyote

A 2-yar-old child playing in a sandbox in San Bernardino County, California was attacked by a coyote and nearly carried off but the girl’s nanny managed to pull her from the animal’s jaws and rush her to the hospital.

The attack occurred at the Alterra Park in Chino Hills last Friday while the girl was playing in a sandbox. Shortly before 11:00 a.m. the nanny heard screams and rushed to find the girl in the grips of the coyote. She quickly grabbed the child at which point the coyote ran into some nearby brush.

After being administered a rabies vaccine at eh Loma Linda University Medical Center the girl was released.
