Coppell, Texas Mayor Jayne Peters Found Dead With Daughter

Coppell, Texas mayor Jayne Peters and her 19-year-old daughter Corrine Peters were found dead in their home Tuesday. Authorities found their bodies while doing a welfare check. The check was requested by the city manager's office after Peters failed to show up for a council meeting.

A city spokesperson said police are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide, but are “not ruling anything out.”

Coppell is located 16 miles northwest of Dallas.
