78-Year-Old Blind Man Bowls Perfect Game

A 78-year-old blind man bowled a perfect game during league play last Saturday, tossing 12 consecutive strikes to hit for the 300 score.

Dale Davis took center stage at the Century Lanes in Alta, Iowa after his first ten frames went down in order. That’s when people from the bar and surrounding lanes began to gather to watch his final two throws.

The 5-foot-8, 115 –pounder knocked the ten pins down on his eleventh frame and then felled the final frame with a “Brooklyn,” a reference to a right-hander striking the left side of the head pin to earn a strike.

Davis lost sight in his left eye in 1997 after suffering from macular degeneration and has limited vision in his right eye.
