Bikini Wearing Teacher Marie Jarry Resigns Due To Pictures

Marie Jarry, a teacher in Southington, CT, has resigned after a controversy over her appearance on the Howard Stern Show.

Jarry has resigned after pictures of her wearing a bikini taken on the show caused some controversy, according to the Web site of "The Howard Stern Show".

Jarry resigned as a second-grade teacher at Thalberg School amidst the controversy. Jarry and husband Aaron were $5,000 winners on the show of Stern's "Ugliest Man, Hottest Wife" contest May 1.

The school board accepted her resignation Monday.

Jarry is the second bikini-wearing teacher to be fired or to resign in a week. Tiffany Shepherd, a Florida high school biology teacher, was fired after school officials discovered that she took a second job as a bikini mate aboard a charter fishing boat operation "Smokin’ Em Charters."

Shepherd took the second job, because she was not making enough money after divorcing her husband earlier this year. She is the single mother of three children, ages 2, 6, and 9.

Shepherd only worked for "Smokin' Em Charters" for four days before she was suspended. Soon thereafter, she was fired.
