Barack Obama may have solidified his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination on Saturday as the Illinois senator moved ahead of rival Hillary Clinton in the superdelegate count.
Obama snagged four superdelegates on Saturday and after Friday’s total of nine endorsements he now leads Clinton by a count of 275 to 270.
Many believed Clinton would need a significant lead in superdelegate to earn the Democratic party’s nomination and now that the New York senator has lost her lead her chances have been seriously damaged.
Obama currently has a insurmountable lead in pledged delegates and with the lead in superdelegates the call for Clinton to step aside will likely get louder.
