Minor Earthquake Rattles Washington DC Area

A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Washington, D.C. area Friday just after 5 a.m. The U.S. Geological Survey reports the center of the earthquake was located 20 miles northwest of D.C. near Gaithersburg, Maryland. The tremor was felt as far away as Bethesda, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia.

There have been no reports of damages or injuries.
