The U.S. Coast Guard has called off their search for a missing San Diego couple late Saturday, one day after their boat washed ashore just north of Rosarito, Mexico on Friday.
Josh Hartman, 28, and his fiancée Ana Martin, both of Oceanside, California, headed to sea on Thursday to fish. According to Hartman’s brother Josh had called and told him that they had caught several fish and were heading back to shore but he hasn’t been heard from since.
The couple’s boat, named “The Pelican,” washed ashore on Friday and there was no trace of Hartman or Martin. Investigators found a life raft, life jackets and weapons inside the boat.
Hartman and Martin were planning an August wedding.
