A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit southwestern China on Monday. At least 107 people were killed and 34 injured in the quake. The earthquake struck near Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.
Buildings were damaged and many collapsed. Local government officials said roads were also damaged. A high school collapsed and nearly 900 students are believed to be buried in the rubble.
