One of the most famous tourist spots in San Francisco is Fisherman's Wharf. This is six-block long and two-block wide strip along the northern border of the city. Among the popular sites in the district are Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39, The Cannery, and the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum. Ghirardelli Square is a world-famous old chocolate factory which has been converted into a shopping center. The highlight of Pier 39 are the numerous sea lions, which have made the pier their home since 1990.
Another place in San Francisco not to be missed is Golden Gate Park. This magnificent park is one of the largest city parks in the country, spanning half the length of the city. Golden Gate Park is home to the fabulous de Young Museum as well as the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, the San Francisco Botanical Garden, and Stow Lake.
