Brian Crowder, Suspect in Florida Wildfires, Arrested

Florida police have arrested a man and are holding him on suspicion of arson related to the devastating wildfires that have ravaged the state’s Atlantic coast.

Authorities in Palm Bay arrested Brian Crowder early Wednesday morning after a foot chase and are now questioning the 31-year-old man about this involvement in the fires that have destroyed 40 homes in Palm Bay and thousands of acres.

More than 100 homes and 15,000 aces have been destroyed in Brevard County. Schools in Palm Bay have remained closed.
