Israeli City of Ashkelon Struck by Rocket Fired from Gaza
A shopping center in the town of Ashkelon was struck by a rocket fired from Gaza on Wednesday leaving several people injured and trapped under rubble.
The homemade rocket struck Hutzot Shopping Center causing significant damage.
In response to the attack Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert warned that if the attacks from the Gaza Strip did not cease Israel would respond with military action. Olmert had been meeting with U.S. President George Bush in Jerusalem when the rocket struck.
