Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), the former Presidential candidate, is officially endorsing Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), according to reports on Wednesday.
The officially endorsement is expected to take place during a campaign event in Grand Rapids, Michigan at 6:20pm. Obama is expected to announce a special guest to the crowd, who will be Edwards. Edwards will then announce to the crowd that he endorses Obama.
Edwards has been courted by both Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) since he dropped out of the nomination fight in late January.
Many analysts believed that Edwards would endorse Obama, but that his wife Elizabeth supports Clinton's health care plan.
Edwards was the Vice Presidential candidate in 2004, along side Presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-MA).
