Police in Richardson, Texas arrested a substitute teacher on Tuesday after the man arrived to teach class but was determined to be drunk.
A fellow teacher noticed that Thomas Brownlee had been slurring his speech and smelled like alcohol. The teacher reported Brownlee to campus police who then notified authorities. Brownlee was administered a sobriety test but was too intoxicated to finish and the test was stopped.
The 56-year-old teacher was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
