While some summer camp programs target a small age range of kids, SuperCamp's academic summer camps offer four distinct programs for boys and girls of different ages, giving all parents an opportunity to provide their children with valuable summer enrichment opportunities this summer.
One of SuperCamp’s most innovative programs is our college summer camp specially-designed for college-bound students. Quantum U is an 8-day program that helps high school graduates make the transition into college by imparting practical life and learning skills that students require to succeed in college.
According to Kevin Davis, a Quantum U facilitator, the program is unique because, “Quantum U helps students transition from the attitude and skills of a youth to the attitude and skills of an adult. They learn to go from the mindset of ‘things happen to me’ to ‘I make things happen for me’.”
On the other end of the spectrum, there is SuperCamp’s seven-day Youth Forum summer camp, which is open to children entering grades 4 and 5 in the fall. Youth Forum is a place where kids have fun learning with other kids during games, with music and through other activities. Frequent team activities, such as ropes course games, teach participants how to use teamwork and trust in each other.
Next up is the Junior Forum summer camp, where kids entering grades 6 to 8 discover their individual learning styles and develop skills for dealing with a heavier academic schedule. They also learn how to participate in "real-life" activities that enable them to make responsible choices and win the support, understanding and guidance of teachers and parents. It's also a great bridge into the Senior Forum teen summer camps.
At SuperCamp’s Senior Forum teen summer camps for students entering grades 9-12, the mission is to help participants learn how to make the most of every moment, uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence, while mastering strategies for academic success. The skills campers learn at SuperCamp will help ease school stress, build study skills, improve grades and increase test scores, including the SAT and ACT. The life skills courses show students ways to discover their strengths, pursue goals, make big decisions, solve problems and resolve conflicts.
SuperCamp even has a summer camp for parents called Parent Weekend, where parents of kids enrolled in SuperCamp can learn some of what their kids are discovering at camp, which enables parents to better support their children throughout the school year.
Many programs already are at or nearing capacity for this summer, so parents are urged to visit http://www.supercamp.com immediately and either enroll online or call 800-285-3276 to talk with an admissions counselor.
