On May 5, 2006, the Company acquired Pixar, a digital animation studio. On August 1, 2007, the Company acquired Club Penguin Entertainment, Inc. On February 1, 2007, the Company acquired NASN Limited.In December 2007, the Company announced that The Walt Disney Internet Group has acquired iParenting Media. 

In May 2008, the Company acquired the Disney Store chain in North America, from subsidiaries of The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. As a result of the transaction, which consisted of an asset purchase by the Company's subsidiaries through the bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings of Hoop Retail Stores, LLC in Delaware, and Hoop Canada, Inc. in Canada, the Company acquired approximately 220 Disney Stores in the United States and Disney Stores in Canada.
