Train Crash in India Kills at least 60, More than 100 Injured

A passenger express train traveling in eastern India slammed into a second train waiting at a station in West Bengal, killing at least 60 people and leaving 120 more injured.

Rescue crews worked for hours to pull all of the survivors out of the twisted steel wreckage and the local hospitals are still treating many of the injured.

According to reports the express train was traveling at an accelerated pace when it crashed into the back of a passenger train. Authorities have not said what caused the crash but have hinted at either human error or signal failure.
