A 16-year-old student at Concordia Education Center in Vidalia, Louisiana is suspected of poisoning a teacher after emptying nearly ¾ of a bottle of eye drop solution in the teacher’s drink.
The student had reportedly made threats to harm the teacher after a friend had been suspended from the school. On May 5 the teacher was forced to the hospital with severe intestinal distress after drinking a soda that contained the eye drops.
After being treated at Riverland Medical Center the teacher was released. Police are still investigating the incident and the teenager could face battery charges. The 16-year-old has denied any involvement in the attack.
