While LeBron James has taken a vocal role in attempting to sway the NBA into retiring the #23 worn by Michael Jordan he may want to reconsider after the six-time NBA champ took a shot at two-time NBA MVP for ditching the Cleveland Cavaliers to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat.
Jordan didn’t exactly blast LeBron for his “decision” but did say “There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team.'”
Jordan made the comment after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada but he gave himself some leeway by saying “things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.”
Almost immediately after announcing he would be playing with Wade and Bosh in South Florida the seven-year vet was slammed for taking the easy way to a championship and abandoning Cleveland.
