Summer Enrichment Program Teaches School and Life Success at the University of Washington

Since opening in 1861, the University of Washington has been a leader in higher academic development in the American northwest. Since 2006, SuperCamp, a leading summer enrichment program for kids and teens, has taken advantage of this by offering two unique academic and life skills development programs there each summer.

The University of Washington is one of the oldest state-assisted institutions of higher education on the Pacific coast. The 643-acre campus is located between the shores of Lake Washington and Lake Union in a residential section of the city that is considered one of the most attractive suburban environments in the nation.

SuperCamp’s
Washington summer camps include Senior Forum, designed for high school students, and the Junior Forum program for middle school-aged students. For students who have previously attended Senior Forum, whether at the University of Washington, or at one of SuperCamp’s eight other regional sites across the country, the program also offers a Leadership Training Team program in conjunction with the Senior Forum camp.

Senior Forum and Leadership Team are 10-day programs designed for students entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall, and will be hosted from July 23 – August 1. Senior Forum students learn to make the most of every moment, uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence while mastering strategies for academic and personal success. The skills campers learn through the Senior Forum program help to ease school stress, build study skills, improve grades, and increase test scores, including the
SAT and ACT.  Students also learn life skills that encourage them to discover their strengths, pursue goals, make big decisions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
