Mayweather Not in a Rush to Fight Pacquiao

Boxing Champ Lets Deadline Pass

According to a report from the Associated Press, undefeated welterweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather is in no rush to fight Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao's camp had announced a Saturday deadline for negotiations, but Mayweather and his camp apparently let the deadline pass without any word on whether or not Mayweather would like to fight Pacquiao in November. "I'm not interested in rushing to do anything," Mayweather told the AP while in Miami. "I'm not really thinking about boxing right now. I'm just relaxing. I fought about 60 days ago, so I'm just enjoying myself, enjoying life, enjoying my family and enjoying my vacation.'' Pacquiao has said that he will fight on November 13, regardless of who his opponent is. This is not the first time that negotiations for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight have failed. Earlier this year, negotiations fell through after Pacquiao refused to submit to Mayweather's request for Olympic-style drug testing. And now with Mayweather apparently not interested in fighting Pacquiao in November, we can only wonder when we will be able to see a Manny-Pacquiao fight -- what could end up being the richest fight in boxing history.
