An Austrian man who killed five members of his family with an axe on Tuesday reportedly planned the killings for weeks.
39-year-old Reinhard Steinbauer showed no emotion when he walked into a police station and confessed to killing first his wife and daughter, and later his parents and father-in-law, with an axe he bought for that purpose.
Steinbauer described how he decided Tuesday was “a good time” for the killings after having purchased the axe on Saturday and celebrating the Pentecost holiday with his family on Monday.
