New Kids on The Block Have Reunion Performance on Today Show

The New Kids on the Block held a reunion performance on the Today Show Friday morning, much to the delight of hundreds of fans.

The New Kids on the Block, known to fans as The New Kids or NKOTB, announced on April 4 on the Today Show that they were reuniting after 14 years. They are coming out with a new album and will have a tour.

The band sang a medley of hits, such as "Step by Step," "Hangin' Tough," "Please Don't Go Girl," and "The Right Stuff". They also performed their new single "Summertime" off of their new album for the first time ever.

The boy band sold 70 million albums in the 1980s and early 1990s. The reunion comes 20 years after the release of the group's multi-platinum album, "Hanging Tough."

Donnie Wahlberg told the Today Show in April that he wrote 80 percent of the new material with Joey McIntyre and Jordan Knight. The remaining members in the reunion are Jonathan Knight, the brother of Jordan, and Danny Wood.
