Larissa Shuster Receives Life Without Parole for Acid Murder

A California biochemist has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the 2003 murder of her estranged husband Timothy Shuster.

Larissa Schuster, 47, murdered her husband by knocking him out and stuffing him to a vat of acid. Timothy’s half-dissolved body was found in a barrel inside a storage unit that Larissa had rented.

Larissa was convicted in December of murdering her husband with the special circumstance that she killed him for financial gain. A Superior Court judge rejected Schuster’s attorney’s motion for a new trail.
