Two People Killed in Float Plane Crash in Washington

A float plane crashed into Lake Chelan in the North Cascades in Washington on Saturday killing two of the five passengers aboard.

 

The single-engine DeHavilland Beaver crashed about 15 minutes after takeoff, slamming into Lake Chelan and turning upside down in the water.

 

A male pilot and two female passengers escaped the crash, the pilot and one of the women were taken to a hospital while a 16-year-old was unhurt.
