Moroccan Security Forces Arrest 11 in Alleged Plot to Launch Attacks in Morocco and Belgium

Moroccan security forces have arrested 11 people who they believe were plotting attacks in Morocco and Belgium as well as sharing close ties to insurgents fighting in Iraq.

The men were believed to have been in regular communication with a group that calls itself al-Qaeda in Islamic North Africa, a militant group that provides training for fighters as well as supports the continued insurgent attacks in Iraq.

Authorities in Morocco did not elaborate on the plots or the charges.
