How Americans Can Buy American, Still Made in the USA Offer Economic Help

"How Americans Can Buy American" and "Still Made in the USA" have been receiving a lot of attention since being featured on NBC's Today Show on Tuesday.

"How Americans Can Buy American" and "Still Made in the USA" are both websites that help Americans increase domestic spending in a method to help the economy.

According to reports, the trade deficit in America has widened significantly in the past decade, ballooning from about $108 billion in 1997 to $708 billion in 2007.

These two sites are amongst a few that want Americans to purchase items made in the USA, which will counteract our trade deficit and further better our economy.

"How Americans Can Buy American" was founded by Roger Simmermaker, who wrote a book with the same title. Simmermaker offers literature and press releases on his website geared to get Americans to support American-owned companies and their American-made products.

"Still Made in the USA" offers categories of products, such as apparel, appliances and sporting goods, that are made in America by American-owned companies. The site allows for direct purchasing. There is also a blog written by the owner, which gives her personal thoughts on the American economy.

"How Americans Can Buy American" is located at www.howtobuyamerican.com, while "Still Made in the USA" can be accessed at www.stillmadeintheusa.com.
