Signs Music and Comedy Veterans to Grow Music and Comedy Brands

The maniaTV Network, the leading independent producer and distributor of web television, today announced the promotion of Stefan Goldby from Head of Music Programming to Vice President of Programming. Stefan, an original employee of maniaTV at launch and an essential part of widely recognized and ground-breaking WebTV shows including Dave Navarro's Spread and Tom Green Live, will oversee production of existing shows and work with business development and sales teams on new show development and co-production partnerships. Stefan made his first executive moves by signing Amber J. Lawson (National Lampoon, Comedy Cocktail) as Executive Producer of Comedy and music industry veteran Amy Finnerty (MTV) as a Senior Producer of Music.

"In just under 4 years Stefan has been instrumental in building maniaTV's audience from 100 visits a month to over 10 million,” says maniaTV CEO, Peter Hoskins. “We are confident that he can keep that trajectory going and continue to deliver compelling new content for a new generation of consumers. He has built a great team to do just that."

Stefan helped maniaTV launch the world's first live television network in 2004 and has since programmed and executive produced more than 500 original band interviews and 5,000 hours of live television content in his role overseeing 16 of maniaTV's original shows. He recently led the network's programming overhaul and Los Angeles relocation project, also scouting and establishing maniaTV's new 15,000-square-foot studio facility at the southern tip of Hollywood.

Stefan (also known as the English guy who installed a pub in his backyard) has over 15 years of experience in the music industry. He earned 9 Billboard Awards for outstanding music television for work with Music Link Productions, National Video Subscriptions and the X Music Network. He also helped form the Los Angeles-based Red Eye Network of late-night music television shows, which eventually was acquired by Launch.com. Stefan has helped create both shortform and longform music television content on film and video in both SD and HD for a wide variety of platinum artists including Norah Jones, Incubus, N*E*R*D, Nelly Furtado, David Gray, 311, System of a Down, Jewel, Alien Ant Farm, Johnny Marr, the Allman Brothers, Gomez, Ben Harper, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blur and Papa Roach.
