“Sex and the City” Movie Ads Banned in Two Israeli Cities

Posters advertising the release of the “Sex and the City” movie won’t be used in two Israeli cities.

Distributors for the movie, scheduled for release May 29, have said advertisements will not be used in Jerusalem and Petah Tikva.

Billboards and posters displaying the word “sex” would be offensive to the cities’ large religious populations, a company spokesman said.

Elsewhere in Israel, the advertisements will go up on Tuesday night.

“Sex and the City” stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Davis, Chris Noth and Jennifer Hudson.
