Reggie Bush to be Erased from USC Memory
Former College Football Star Disowned
The University of Southern California wants nothing to do with one of its previous college football heroes, Reggie Bush. Accused of dealing with prospective agents and receiving improper benefits while still in school, Bush is now at the center of a controversy that USC apparently wants nothing to do with. USC president Max Nikias said that, according to orders from the NCAA, all Reggie Bush paraphernalia will be removed from display at the school. USC athletic director Pat Harden intends to actually erase any trace of Reggie Bush from the school's history. Essentially, USC is trying to erase all memories of Bush and his accomplishments from the school's history and image. A member of the New Orleans Saints since 2006, Bush is now a Super Bowl champion and a highly acclaimed NFL running back. But he still laments the treatment that he is now receiving from his alma mater. "This thing, regarding USC and the NCAA, is the closest thing to death without dying because I have such a great love and respect for the university, this has been one the toughest things I’ve had to deal with in my life."
