American Cornhole Organization is headed South June 11 - 14 to Wilmore, Kentucky with all the Cornhole Gear necessary to Showcase the Sport of Cornhole at the Ichthus Festival the Biggest Christian Music Festival this side of the Mississippi.
Ichthus Ministries has teamed up with the ACO - American Cornhole Organization to not only offer great Christian Music but to offer a game of family fun called cornhole.
Cornhole originated in Cincinnati and has grown to a game of national recognition. It is pure family fun. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Sister, or Brother can play. If you can pick up a pound of corn you can play cornhole. The game is similar to horseshoes. The object of the game is to throw a bag of corn at an inverted 2’ x 4’ board with a 6” hole cut out that is placed 30’ away. Two or four players can play each getting 4 rotating throws. The object is to score 21 points before the opponent. Scoring is 3 points for in the hole – cornhole – 1 point for on the board. Your opponent can knock your corn bag off the board to neutralize your score.
Ichthus Ministries has set up a Special Area for the ACO to set up their Tournament Series Boards for the fun of the game. These are the same cornhole boards found on Carnival Cruise Lines and designated Professional Tournaments throughout the States.
If the Ichthus festival goer has played cornhole before but never played the Tournament Series Boards then this will be an opportunty to play on the Boards of the Pros. If the game is new then this will be a great time to see what all the buzz is about.
American Cornhole Organization handles the Carson Palmer Cornhole Charity Classic Tournament in Cincinnati, the King of Cornhole Tournament in Las Vegas, and a host of additional tournaments.
The American Cornhole Tournament Series Cornhole Boards were featured in Cornhole: The Movie.
Ichthus Ministries began its work in 1970 having the first Christian Music Festival in the nation that same year. The Ichthus Music Festival is an opportunity for families to gather for a long weekend and listen to great music with a message of hope and love.
American Cornhole was founded in 2005 dedicated to bringing the sport of cornhole to the nation.
