New York Dermatologist, Ellen Marmur, M.D., Provides Online Health Education about Skin Cancer, Acne and other skin conditions.
“Dr. Marmur is the principle investigator on over ten research studies including an FDA safety trial using calcium hydroxyapatite filler in dark skin types, treatment of basal cell carcinoma, and new treatments for actinic keratoses” a type of precancerous skin lesion.
Dr. Marmur reviews Actinic Keratoses and its treatment options, including hydroxyapatite filler, cryosurgery, laser and photodynamic therapy as well as prescription medications, such as Zyclara (imiquimod).

A board-certified dermatologist with advanced training in cosmetic laser surgery and Mohs skin cancer surgery, Ellen Marmur, M.D. earned her degree in medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine with distinction in research on melanoma vaccines and the national Alpha Omega Alpha award for highest excellence in medicine.
Dr. Marmur is president-elect of The Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery (ASCDAS) and an active member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, New York Dermatologic Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Medical Women’s Association, American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
