Two tornadoes struck just north of Denver, Colorado on Thursday killing at least one person, destroying several homes and buildings and knocking out power to more than 20,000 customers.
A complete assessment of the damage will take some time but the twisters devastated areas in Windsor, Colorado and Greeley, Colorado.
The scene after the twisters passed was littered with felled trees, discarded cars and trucks, and personl possessions that were once inside homes.
The area remains under a tornado watch.
