The twin twisters that tore through northern Colorado and into southern Wyoming have left at least one dead and destroyed several buildings, homes, and cars that lay in its path on Thursday.
Windsor, Colorado was the hardest hit area as the community of 16,000 was left with what amounted to a catastrophe. Power to the town was out as lines were snapped by flying trees and debris that were scattered across the landscape.
Several residents in Windsor were left with injuries ranging from broken bones and cuts to bruises as flying items struck at all angles. Authorities resorted to going door-to-door to check on residents after the storm.
Greeley, Colorado fared no better as one man at a campsite was killed and several residents saw their homes in ruins as the storm swept through.
A tornado was also reported to have touched down in Laramie, Wyoming but there were no reports of injuries.
