Matt Barnes Signs With the Lakers

NBA Vet Joins Eighth Team

Matt Barnes, an NBA veteran who played with the Orlando Magic last season, has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. On Thursday, the Lakers announced that they had signed the thirty-year-old, although the terms of the contract have not yet been made public. According to Yahoo! Sports, Barnes has agreed to a 2-year, $3.6 million contract. The Lakers will be Barnes' eight NBA team; he has previously played for the Clippers, the Kings, the Knicks, the 76ers, and other teams. Obviously happy about being able to play for the defending NBA Finals Champions, Barnes tweeted, "Its official I AM A LOS ANGLES LAKER. I wanna thank u for all ur patients and understanding. This is a dream come true!!! Good lookn Kobe."
