Arrest Warrant Issued for Man Wanted in Connection to Drugging Ice Dancer
An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a man wanted in connection to the drugging of gold-medal winning Olympic ice dancer Oksana “Pasha” Grishuk.
Police in Santa Ana, California are now looking for James R. Halstead who is believed to have given Grishuk a “narcotic, anesthetic and intoxicating agent,” a felony.
According to reports the 36-year-old Grishuk had been at an Orange County resort, as was Halstead, when she began to feel sick. She noticed a dissolved pill at the bottom of her drink and then noticed a pill at the bottom of another drink that she had finished.
Grishuk won gold in 1994 and 1998.
