Comedian and producer Dick Martin, half of the wildly popular 1960s comedy show “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In” died Saturday night at a
Martin, along with Dan Rowan, hosted the comedy-variety show from 1968-1973 and brought to light such comedians and actors as Goldie Hawn, Lilly Tomlin, Arte Johnson and Jo Anne Worley.
When Rowan retired Martin went on to make appearances on game shows including Match Game and Password Plus before becoming chief director of the hit comedy show “Newhart.” Martin also directed several episodes for "In the Heat of the Night," "Archie Bunker's Place" and "Family Ties.”
