Leonard Cohen will continue his limited tour with a stop in Pilton, UK to take part in the three-day Glastonbury Festival on June 29.
Joining Cohen at the Glastonbury Festival will be Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse, Neil Diamond, Crowded House, James Blunt, John Mayer, The Verve, Panic at the Disco and several other acts.
Cohen opened his tour in Canada and still has stops in Moncton, Saint John’s, Chicoutimi, Kitchener, Hamilton and Toronto. He will then travel to Dublin for three shows at the Irish Museum of Modern Art beginning June 13. Cohen will then travel to Manchester for four shows at the Opera House Manchester June 17, 18, 19, 20.
Cohen has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as well as the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. The 73-year-old is also an inductee n the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cohen was recently honored with a Grammy Award as a featured artist on Herbie Hancock’s River: The Joni Letters.
It has been nearly four years since Cohen released his 11th studio album, Dear Heather, yet he remains one of the most influential artists to date.
Among the stops on the Leonard Cohen world tour will be the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, Belgium and Portugal.
