Michel Fournier Prepares to Sky Dive From Edge of Space
The 64-year-old will wear a pressurized suit that can withstand extreme temperatures. During the free fall, Fournier will experience weightlessness and says he will collect data to help astronauts to survive the high altitudes.
“This project is a great scientific and human challenge. This is my baby, my dream. I just want to realize my dream,” says Fournier.
If Fournier’s jump is successful, he will be breaking four world records including fastest free fall, longest free fall, highest jump, and highest altitude reached by a man in a balloon.
He has financed the project himself spending nearly $20 million on the project and selling nearly all his possessions.
