Besides the caves, driving through the park is a thrilling experience, as one encounters several wild animals, including deer, antelope, elk, coyote, prairie dogs and huge herds of buffalos. The park also offers two splendid hiking trails, the Elk Mountain Nature Trail and the Ridge Nature Trail.
