A 16-year-old boy drowned at Sun Valley Beach in Powder Springs Tuesday. Cobb County police are investigating his death, though they have ruled it an accident.
The South Cobb High School student, whose identity has not been released, was accompanied by his father and siblings on the class outing at the water park. The students were celebrating the end of the school year.
The boy was having dinner with his family at 7 p.m. An hour and a half later he was found dead in the bottom of the swimming pool.
Georgia Authorities are investigating what caused the teen to drown.
