Madonna's Adoption of Malawi Boy Approved

Madonna and husband, Guy Ritchie, have been caring for the boy she met in a Malawi orphanage since 2006.

The singer is funding a multimillion-dollar academy for disadvantaged children in Malawi, and has established her own orphanage in the country while financing six others.

Madonna and Ritchie have two other children – son Rocco, 7, and daughter Lourdes, 11.
