Kobe Bryant filed a letter Wednesday against TheDirty.com after the website claimed that Bryant had an affair with Vanessa Curry, a Laker Girl.
Bryant's lawyer, Arthur Streisand, sent the letter to the site, demanding that the post be taken down.
The site claimed that Bryant had a clandestine affair with Curry, who recently left her position with the Laker Girls, the Lakers' official cheerleading squad.
The rumors also said that the Lakers organization got rid of Curry, 18, because the affair was a distraction to the team as Lakers are close to getting coach Phil Jackson the all-time record for championships this season.
TheDirty.com responded that based on the fact that the site had sources that made the claim of the affair, the site would not welcome Streisand's request to take the post down.
Bryant denies the rumor that he has cheated on his wife, also named Vanessa, with the 18-year old cheerleader.
