ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA. Lippitt & Sons, have announced the addition of eco-friendly, or “green,” plumbing products and services to its already comprehensive offering.
By leveraging the latest technology, Pete’s Plumbing now offers a range of products, such as energy-efficient tankless and on-demand water heaters, and high-efficiency toilets, faucets and showerheads. These products are produced by such major brands as Kohler, Delta and Moen, which are recognizable high-quality brands within the plumbing industry.
Julie Lippitt, President of Pete’s Plumbing, explained, “Usually, when you think of a plumber, it’s only in the middle of an emergency with a clogged drain or a pipe that has burst. Our new services offer a different way to think about how a plumbing service can help you become more environmentally conscious. We are also aiming to educate our customers by working as their partner to reduce residential and commercial water usage as well as decrease utility bills.”
Adding these new eco-friendly plumbing products is viewed as a good investment. Installing an aerator to a kitchen or bathroom faucet will cost a small amount of money, but this small change will save 30% more water and it will not impact water pressure or overall performance. The team at Pete’s Plumbing, Inc. estimates that if one of their customers was to invest in $1,500 worth of green plumbing products, they could receive a return on their investment in as little as one year and then experience continual savings going forward. Factor in some of the available rebates at the Federal level and through the state of Georgia for some water conservation products as well as energy-efficiency financing available through various government agencies and the advantages of green plumbing exponentially increase.
As Lippitt added, “This is just the start of what eco-plumbing can become as the environmental standard of the future. We are constantly seeking out more solutions that will help our clients become more responsible and save money. Greywater and solar water devices are just two examples of up-and-coming potential solutions we hope to add in the near future.”
Green Plumbing in Action: Anytime Fitness
Recently, Anytime Fitness in Roswell, Georgia took advantage of Pete’s Plumbing’s free environmental assessment so that they could learn how to save money and help the planet, which are available for both homes and businesses. The gym received an inspection of all plumbing fixtures and systems to determine their eco-friendliness. They then were given recommendations on how to add water conservation products. Anytime Fitness has since installed water-conservation toilets and shower heads in the gym bathrooms and already has experienced the benefits of “green” plumbing products.
According to the gym owner, “The equipment functions just as well in terms of water pressure and performance as the non-conservation products. Since having the equipment installed, we have already received a few water bills that are significantly less than our previous water costs. It feels great to be saving money, especially during these challenging economic times, have happy customers, and be helping the planet at the same time.”
The gym also plans to include these new environmentally responsible strategies into their marketing efforts so that they can educate their customers about the importance of water conservation and let them know just how much they care about the environment.
