The Stone Temple Pilots to Perform Live at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado July 2

The Stone Temple Pilots will be performing live at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on Wednesday, July 2 at 7:30 pm.  They will play next at the Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 4.

 

An American rock band, the Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated as STP, is comprised of Scott Weiland (vocals), Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals), Dean DeLeo (guitar) and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion).  The band formed in 1987 and continued to play until their 2003 breakup.  Five years later, the band reunited and is currently touring throughout the US before they begin recording their sixth album in November.

 

Having sold over 17.5 million albums in the United States and almost 40 million worldwide, STP has had fifteen top ten singles on the Billboard rock charts, six of which were #1’s and one #1 album on the pop charges.  The band won a Grammy for the Best Hard Rock Performance in 1994 for their song “Plush” from their album, Core.
