Crane Collapse in New York Kills at last Two
A giant crane collapsed and crashed into an apartment building on New York’s Upper East Side early Friday morning leaving at least two dead and rescue workers scrambling to sift through the rubble for additional victims.
The collapse occurred at East 91st and First Avenue where several high-rise buildings are situated and new construction is rampant.
As the crane collapsed it struck the nearby high-rise apartment building.
There have been several people in the area that have complained about the fast-paced development of real estate in the area and have said it is that fast-paced approach that has left these people vulnerable to these types of accidents.
