50 Cent's House Burned Down, Shaniqua Tompkins Top Suspect

Rapper 50 Cent's Long Island mansion was burned to the ground on Friday morning in a suspicious fire.

The $2.4-million dollar home in Dix Hills, Long Island was destroyed, injuring six people. All six people are hospitalized in stable condition after suffering smoke inhalation.

Arson squads and police are investigating what they consider to be a "suspicious" fire.

50 Cent's former girlfriend and mother of his son Marquise, Shaniqua Tompkins, is expected to be questioned by police.

Tompkins filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, after he threatened to evict Tompkins if she did not pay $4,500 a month in rent. According to the lawsuit, 50 Cent promised Tompkins the house more than a decade ago.

During an ongoing child support battle, the rapper appeared before court earlier this year and requested that Tompkins and their son be removed from the home. He claimed that Tompkins was given ample time to find another residence, but did not do so.

Tompkins lived in the house with two of her children, including 10-year old Marquise, while 50 Cent lived elsewhere.

Recently on TMZ.com, 50 Cent and Tompkins were seen arguing on a public street.
